Brief Biodata
Margaret Fordham is a graduate of the University of Durham, and she is currently an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Law at NUS. Margaret joined the Faculty in 1984, having previously practised commercial law at Clifford Turner, a leading London law firm. Her current research interests are mainly in tort law, with particular focus on medical negligence, nuisance and false imprisonment. Margaret is the author of a book on tax incentives in Singapore and has published numerous articles and case analyses both locally and in reputable international journals such as the Law Quarterly Review (UK) and the Tort Law Review (Australia). Margaret's principal area of teaching is Tort Law. She also teaches Common Law Reasoning and Writing, which introduces graduates from civil law systems to the common law.
